Diablo > Diablo 2 is irrefutable fact, but it wasn't a shitpile. It was middling to decent.

Also anyone who doesn't realize that the Golden Age of RPGs was the early 90s is deficient.

Racist? Really? ...I admit I was way too young to think about that at the time. I didn't even realize that it was kind of weird that they made the black guy the Black Ranger and the Asian girl the Yellow Ranger until adulthood.

Go ahead: make my childhood awkward - how was Diablo 2 racist?

Diablo 2 is a shitty shit shit game completely unbalanced for singleplayer, though. Getting through Act 2 was a chore and Act 3 was such a pain in the ass I finally bounced off the game and deleted it.

Well it was stolen because I had to keep it on the down-low from my very religious mother.

All this doesn't change the fact that singleplayer is grossly unbalanced.

My staunchly religious parents would have objected, too, if they could figure out how to turn the computer on without assistance.

I never really noticed, but my only solo playthrough was as the sorceress.

Paladin. It was fun until I got to the end of Act I.

It was a chore until I got to the end of Act II and tried to face off the boss.

After establishing a pattern where I'd go in, poke him a couple times, die, then run the gauntlet back to him, wash, rinse, repeat, I finally went on to Act III.

What the actual fuck. I think I got maybe a quarter of the way in before I finally gave up. Fuck that game.

Hahah hard Diablo bosses are the worst: you can't just stand in a doorway and mop them up like every other enemy in the game.

Still, I think we can both agree that Diablo 3 was shittier still. And a sign of everything that's wrong with Blizzard these days, really.

And Torchlight was better.
