People who bitch and moan every time their favorite character isn't in the new chapter or episode. These also tend to be people with a trend of not caring about main characters, which makes me suspect they like characters they can project onto because there's not as much canon about them. I want to ask them, "If your favorite character appeared as often as you think you want, would they even be your favorite character?"

That does seem a bit silly. And sometimes it's best when favorite characters aren't - one of mine ended up getting a lot more screentime, and I actually didn't like him as much when he did. He was killed off in that same installment, and I was so sick of his character (in that particular book) I just sort of rolled my eyes and kept reading.
