No, it was when I first tried to get into the fandom... mainly TWOP (though that may have been part of my problem) but I saw it a few other places as well. It was weird.

I can't remember any hate for River, but then again I've never been deep into Firefly fandom. That blindsides me because River is easily one of the more interesting characters on the show. I thought everyone loved her.
