I realize that unless something in the interaction between two characters "strikes" me, I have no shipping impulse/goggles/radar/what have you. Even then, interaction close to how they act in canon is usually what I want to see. Any sort of domestic is... Egh.

You can tell me that so-and-so work well together, and 85% of the time I can see it, but I hardly ship things on my own, nor very strongly.

This... either works really well for me or against me in the Fire Emblem Awakening fandom. But Transistor has me in fucking pieces right now, so at least if things are simple, I get it.

This. I can usually see where people are coming from with their ships, but I just prefer what is said as canon.
