That people don't tag for all-human AUs. For multiple reasons, some being that I am watching a show about supernatural beings and would like to read about supernatural beings. Yes it makes a difference. Also for narrative purposes because sometimes it's just not clear in the writing and I spend so much time trying to figure it out and it completely takes me out of the story.

People will put the dumbest tumblr-style tags but they can't put actual simple useful tags in there.

Yes and I'll add the "these people are suddenly alive/dead for some reason" AUs and surprise!future AUs. Nothing quite like them to make you wonder what the hell you are reading, since they usually start out just like canon.

OMG, this. I hate when I start reading a story and have to wonder, "So...does this character still have their powers?/are they still supernatural?/are they a mutant?/etc" because it isn't made clear in the tags or right off the bat.
