I hate when Seven is portrayed as being completely innocent when it comes to anything sexual (often to the point of outright idiocy) in fanfic, right down to having a fully-intact hymen. And I know that last bit's a petty grievance, but it just seems to me like the borg wouldn't be considerate enough to be careful around that area when they're arc-welding metal and hardware into every spare millimeter of flesh. I mean, I guess the Doctor could've restored it after he finished using a giant can opener to get all that plating off, but that seems kind of skeevy.

Anyway, it's annoying how often that whole virginity fetish crops up even in femmeslash.

It also annoys me how few smutfics that explore the erotic possibilities of Seven's borg attributes. Surely she could do some interesting things with those tubules alone.

Wasn't she Borgified as a kiddo, though? Like a prepubescent kiddo?

I can buy her being completely innocent about sex, but it's a travesty not to explore what her Borg physiology might mean for sex. :)

Yup, but she spent several years in a borg maturation chamber to speed up her growth before they installed all the major hardware and software, such as the anti-virus program AVG v. 2450, because even 300+ years in the future, Norton is still a piece of crap. But I think I'm getting off-track.

Anyway, my main objection to her not knowing about sex is that, canonically, she downloaded and read over 24 gigaquads of information about romance and sex. Surely she knows what the clitoris is by now.

And yes, I quite agree about her physiology's possible applications during sex. I mean, the possibilities of her having a vibration setting alone...

Ah, okay. I completely misunderstood your comment (reading comprehension fail on my part!).

I thought you were saying she should have already *experienced* sex which I don't think she would have at all before meeting the crew of the Voyager. I completely agree with you that she would know all about the mechanics of sex and etc.
