I thoroughly enjoyed this film but am far from obsessed with it the way some folks are. (Not that there's anything wrong with being super into it, I just thought it was fun. And a pretty damn good popcorn flick, but if you don't like it that's alright. Not the end of the world. *shrugs*)

I missed the fandom explosion too, but wish I hadn't because of all the crossovers. I see Pacific Rim AU's now and then (and will always at least check them out because I have a weakness, okay?) but know I probably missed a ton of art.

I think the biggest thing I loved after Pacific Rim came out was all the drift compatible AU's that appeared, I don't like AU's very much myself but for some reason I eat those ones up like they're going out of fashion.

I'll read AU's but normally I read them last. I'll read all the non-AU fic that's been recently updated, then I'll branch out into AU's because by that point I want something else and am desperate. But certain AU's, like Pacific Rim, really catch my interest and I'll read them right away.
