I liked the movie a lot, but Mako - for all that tumblr tried to sell her as this awesome heroine, or maybe because of that - absolutely underwhelmed me.

I liked Mako, but I think fandom (or at least a part of fandom) really oversold her as an OMG POC HEROINE!

God I hated Mako she was so soul-less and bland. I am honestly sick of these unemotional, stoic heroines (Black Widow too.), give us some ladies like Melissa McCarthy's character in The Heat in Sci Fi movies like PR and Avengers PLEASE.
