The 2006 movie The Covenant. It's been talked about lately because Sebastian Stan is in it, but it's definitely a guilty pleasure because it's not great. Had a pretty active fandom for about 6 years because of having several attractive young guys in the cast, but has since all but died.

In short, why should I watch it? I was sort of considering it because of Seb Stan, but I'm still sort of reulctant o watch bad films (unless it's like hilarios b-movie bad)?

I find it fun. the world-building is cool and has tons of potential to explore it in fic. it's about five families of witches surviving the witch trials to the modern day and focuses on the son in each family. They can do magic but can get addicted and get a boost on their 18th birthday which causes them to age prematurely if they abuse the magic.

Imo, it's a fun, silly kinda bad. I don't think I'd love it so much if it was just bad-bad. it's definitely not for everyone. I say give it a chance.

I'll probably check it out, then.

Oh haha I remember seeing that movie in theaters with my sister, and we were both amused while simultaneously laughing at what a bad movie it was. As soon as I got home, I went and looked up fanfic. It must've been the pretty boy slash fodder, because it really was a bad movie, but I think I read like ten fanfics that night.

Oh, yeah, so much fanfic was written for this movie. Most of it is slash of any combination of the guys. There's also a ton of guy/OFC fics, if that's your thing.

Sebastian Stan is in it? ...oh, Sebastian Stan is in it. I was blindsided by Taylor Kitsch and...abs.
