Re: Stuff you love, but can't really recommend to other people

Bob's Burgers. While it's not a horribly offensive show like, say, Family Guy or South Park... it certainly has its elements that some people either really love or really hate, I've found.

King of the Hill, too, for about the same reasons as Bob's Burgers.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the Nickelodeon iteration. While I find it to be an incredibly hilarious show with some well-written moments, genius voice casting, and decent amounts of action; the poor writing/handling of its female characters (mostly April) and Donatello in general (especially his creeper*crush on April) are things I know can be huge turn-offs to some people, so I'm reluctant to rec to people who are particular about female characters (which I totally get). Oh, and the body horror, too. Can't forget the body horror. (Plus, S2 so far has been hit by the sophomore slump hard, but if yesterday's episode was any indication, they might be headed for a quality rebound)

Aww man, what do people not like about Bob's Burgers?

Bob's Burgers didn't click with me. I guess for the same reason I don't like Family Guy. I just don't find any of the characters likable (for my tastes)

To each their own of course but when I watched it I kept thinking how much more likable it was than Family Guy. Bob isn't stupid and you can tell the family loves each other.

Exactly. Bob's Burger's isn't mean.

Bob's Burgers is fantastic and you should never hesitant to rec it to anyone.

I've only seen a couple of episodes of Bob's Burgers and really enjoyed it, so what's the thing that alienates people? (I can only think of the frequent mentions of pooping, but that's pretty harmless, right.)

I think it's largely the humor not really 'clicking' with the people I've spoke to who saw it, and didn't like it.

Eh, their loss.
