Maybe you still would have hated it - obviously plenty of people did - but the action scenes have a different sense of scale seeing it on the big screen and a much greater impact.

(Anonymous) 2014-06-10 03:13 am (UTC)(link)To be honest I preferred it on DVD because I could up the brightness and color contrast. It was dark as hell in the theater but at home it was crazy gorgeous. Del Toro loves blue and red, homg.

I couldn't even laugh and yell and comment on its shittiness because I was in a theater! And a then friend had paid for the ticket so I couldn't even leave. I was basically forced to waste my time watching that piece of garbage, if I had been at home at least I would have been able to go do something else. And anyway I couldn't even see wtf was going on since everything was blurry and explosions. Maybe I would have benefitted from seeing it on a smaller screen and with the ability to pause if something.
