Re: Tell us about widely-accepted fanon in your fandoms
The dumb!Steve one is thankfully getting better, as people seem to have realised after Cap 2 that oh look this dude isn't a fucking moron. It's still hit or miss on him being written as an innocent delicate flower though.
Dumb!Thor is maddeningly prevalent, even after Thor 2 where we got to see just how much he's grown(I'd argue that we see this in the first Thor filme and Avengers too but the fact that people still write him like a meathead after his second movie genuinely baffles me). Like I swear it seems like most of the fandom hasn't seen the Thor movies, or they just can be assed writing his character properly and fall back onto insulting fanon characteristation.
I do enjoy this fandom I swear but there are just certain popular bits of fanon that wind me up.
Re: Tell us about widely-accepted fanon in your fandoms
I don't know, I feel like there's a difference between dumb!Thor and out-of-his-depth-and-super-used-to-privilege!Thor, at least, to me.
But seriously, which second movie did they watch?
The one where they skipped all of Thor's scenes to get to Loki?Re: Tell us about widely-accepted fanon in your fandoms
Oh of course, he's certainly thrown for a loop when he first lands in Thor 1 but he does adapt quickly imo and through into the Avengers and Thor 2 he grows so much and I love it.
He outsmarts Loki twice in the film as well, or do they just ignore that so their precious bb Loki is always the smartest one?(I love the little shit but seeing Thor get one over on him twice was brilliant and well-deserved).
Re: Tell us about widely-accepted fanon in your fandoms
unless she's like, one of those super advanced ones, like, IDK, chobits?Thor is lovely, and I am so glad that he wasn't played as "the idiot" to Loki's "super smart intelligent man", though, ngl, part of that is me getting sick and tired of Loki, sorry. ^^;
