Ha, the modernness of it was why I loved it. I have always been so bored by old English renditions of it, where they sound like they've just mainlined a bottle of Valium into their veins. In the modern version, they're screaming, they're crying, they're knocking shit over with their tantrums - THAT'S passion. I can believe that those two would kill themselves with that.

That said - the juxtaposition of the old language with the modern setting could be very jarring in an unpleasant way if that's not the way you like your stories told. Which is totally valid.
