(Anonymous) 2014-06-10 03:05 am (UTC)(link)I believe Julie McNiven has gone on record as saying she thinks it's a good candidate, but there's no actual canon evidence that it was so or even that she had a different name as an angel. The voices on Angel Radio referred to her as Anna, Cas always addressed her as Anna, and she herself never mentioned having another name. Also, several other female angels we've met since have had human-like names (Rachel, Naomi, Hannah,) as have some of the males, so 'Anna' is certainly not out of the ordinary in that respect.
There's nothing wrong with it as a headcanon, but I wish other roleplayers would do their homework and ask before assuming it's my Anna's angelic name!
