Re: Laser Eye Surgery

Both of my parents had it done, with extremely different results. Here's one thing to take into account: your pupil size. My dad's pupils are tiny. His vision was pretty bad, but he walked out of there and had perfect vision and still does, only using reading glasses. I think that was maybe 10 years ago. My mom, on the other hand, was part of the experimental group, because her vision was so terrible that she was desperate. She has large pupils. It regressed immediately, she had a second corrective surgery, still wears glasses, and her night vision is shot. Obviously she's what you'd call a horror story and very much an exception to most people's experience. And within my own family we have a strikingly different example in my dad. I would get some consultations from places with very high reputations to get answers for your eyes specifically. My dad's sight was much worse than yours and it worked perfectly for him. But pupil size is a factor. Other things too, but I'm not as familiar with the rest. Basically, sorry for the tl;dr and don't hesitate to get multiple professional opinions if you're considering it.
