It's the fabulous Drew Struzan, who did the iconic Indiana Jones posters and old-school style prequel ones. And a lot of Star Wars EU books. I doubt anyone remembers the '90s children's series called Jedi Prince, and while even kid!me knew they weren't very well-written, they had beautiful and extremely memorable covers by Struzan.

I can't even remember much about them except there was a three-eyed guy who claimed to be Palpatine's son and some nasty Moffs to back him up, a (good?) Hutt with hair (because of the covers and interior illos), and they tried to turn Leia to the Dark Side. 'S all I can dredge up.

Huh. It's fabulous. Amazing covers on questionable books would always draw me in, hehe.

And pardon my late-night slip of the finger, i meant *Amsel*. The style is just so alike.
