Me too.

I only really post anon in fandom anymore and it gets lonely sometimes, but making secrets or talking people here is nice.

Makes sense to me. If you don't have anyone else to discuss the topic with, making a f!s about it is an easy way to find folks to chat with. (And we can always use more secrets, so...)

That's how it is for me as well. Most of the forums for my fandom are either dead or people just pass me over. The only way I'm really guaranteed a reply is somehow making it a secret on here.

I mean, at this point, F!S is my only real place of fandom community, interaction, and discussion. It used to be much easier to find, but now the blog-based fandom is largely gone and I have little patience for Tumblr-based/social-media based fandom.

This. I feel exactly the same. Tumblr is really not for me. F!S is the only fandom community I really have anymore.

This, yep. My LJ is active with non-fandom stuff. I hate tumblr. This is where I come for fandom stuff.

I'm glad people do this for the reason you described. There aren't many discussions going on anymore, it's all about liking gif sets these days, so I really like checking out fandom secrets for the comments.

Discussion and interaction is my favorite part of fandom. Watching people throw their squer/rage/gifsets into the void is incredibly unsatisfying and the more fandom goes that way, the less of a fandom life I have. At least people have conversations here.

I do that too sometimes, especially with dead fandoms. And quite frankly F!S could use all the new secrets it could get these days, so I look at it as a win/win.
