Honestly, I think it probably keeps me awake but meh.

There are certain types of stories that will put me to sleep. My brain has issues shutting off. If I don't put it onto something, I will lay there worrying/thinking about random things and not be able to get to sleep. Focusing on a specific story lets my brain relax and go to sleep.

I always have trouble deciding what story to think about. I am like, "Captain America today??? Maybe X-Men!!! How about The Walking Dead."

Oh, I have a total massive crossover laid out with my total mary sue characters. Which part I fantasize and which character I am about depends on my mood, but it is always the same overarching story.

OMG yes. I love, love putting characters (a lot of the time in children form) in dangerous situations in the other worlds. I just let the other characters take care of them. Awww yes.

See I like fantasizing about being the badass protective one. And I put my characters through awful things because for some reason I find characters surviving horrific stuff and being strong and protecting everyone and sometimes sacrificing themselves oddly comforting.

Yup. And for some reason I like imagining my characters having a huge family even though my real one is small. And always multiple spouses and past relationships with all the male characters I like because I can never pick just one. But no kids. Just being badass and protective and getting all the pretty boys.

If we put our sad daydreams together, we could make the whole world cry (and possibly masturbate).

Or creep them out since some of my hurt comfort fantasies are more like torture porn movies before they get to the comfort part. (And sometimes totally yes to the masturbate part).

I love those damn things. I am reading a Steve/Loki fic that someone recommended to me because Steve gets pretty damn whumped. ಠ⌣ಠ

I'm totally all about the hurt, especially when sacrifice is involved. LIke my fem!Harry lets herself get tortured by Voldemort to save everyone or my fem!Doctor distracts the Master by letting him torture her. Not sure why, but its strangely comforting in either fic or fantasy form.

Ooo, link? That isn't a usual pairing for me, but Steve!whump is intriguing.

Here it is! I like Loki/Steve so it is a woot for me. http://capkink.livejournal.com/1973.html?thread=1520821&lj=1#t1520821

Thanks so much! This is perfect. And tentacle torture may totally be a thing for me now. And I just want to hug Steve.

Me too. I used to be a terrible insomniac. I have scenario's that soothe me. It works surprisingly well.

It is the best. What I find relaxing/comforting depends on my mood, but whatever the fantasy is imagining something helps me sleep every time.
