Half same. I dislike a lot of it, especially if it has to do with serious illness, disability, etc. I don't want to read that kind of h/c where the H is permanent. Not really interested plus it makes me extremely uncomfortable.

I like smaller H/C, like a temporary injury. And especially emotional. Something bad happening to family/friend/pet, got rejected/dumped/unrequited love comfort, comforting through a fear/phobia etc.

OMG are you me? This exactly. I just feel totally uncomfortable with it. I don't always mind it in original fiction, but I really don't like it in fic for some reason. I guess because it sort of changes the story of what the show/movie/book is about.

Temporary injury/peril that will be completely healed in a week/a month/a few months/maybe a year tops in some cases is far and away my favorite type of h/c. (Although I LOVE highly visible permanent scarring. That's different.)
