I've worked at the same job for 5 years now, gone through 2 promotions, and for the past 4 months I've been on the edge of my seat brink of flat-out quitting.

I keep having to remind myself that it's pretty much impossible for someone with zero secondary education to find a full-time job with benefits making the same pay rate I currently am, and some days that is quite literally the ONLY reason I haven't handed in my 2-week notice yet.

I'm currently in the running for another promotion, but I really don't think I want it and am almost certain I'm not qualified for it... But it's been heavily hinted to me that if I don't get it my current position at the company is at risk of disappearing.

Yeah, at this point I'm just going to work, doing my job, keeping my trap shut, and practically running out the office doors when my shift is over.

...on the plus side, if they do let me go instead of me quitting, at least they'll have to pay me unemployment. So there's that.
