A friend of mine from kindergarten (omg I feel old now) is getting married in August so her bridal shower is this weekend.

Also yum to funnel cake.

What do you do at a bridal shower? I assume it is more formal than a bachelorette party?

It's very different from a bachelorette party, not necessarily more formal. I've only been to one other bridal shower and it was at the maid of honor's house with appetizers and fruity drinks. There' may have been alcohol, but I didn't drink at the time. You play silly little games and all the women ooo and aaaa over the gifts.

It's similar in theme to a baby shower, you register for gifts and people buy you gifts off of your registry. It's tomorrow afternoon so I assume it'll be sandwiches and snacks.
