Weekend Plans!

What is everyone going to be up to this weekend?

My town is having a Summerfest so I might go by and get a delicious funnel cake. I'll also be experimenting with my waffle maker more and will attempt to make banana waffles. If I feel productive, I might even plant some flowers!

What about you all?

Oh, I hope you have fun! No one I know is that interested in it, so I'll probably wait until it comes out on DVD to see it. But I enjoyed the first one quite a bit.

A friend of mine from kindergarten (omg I feel old now) is getting married in August so her bridal shower is this weekend.

A friend is coming to town this weekend so I'm going to spend more money than God to take her to the aquarium (jesus christ it's like $23 a ticket what the FUCK) 'cuz she wanted to see the aquarium. I guess I don't mind taking her, I like the place myself, but I can't believe how EXPENSIVE it is.

I'm going to see Hedwig & the Angry Inch - not the NPH one, before you all get too excited. But there's a Euro tour, apparently, and the drive there is acceptable distance. Probably pizza with friends on Sunday and/or miniature golf - we'll see.

Well, I was just going to stay inside all weekend and watch the World Cup but I've heard such great things about How to Train Your Dragon 2 I'm going to take my siblings to go see it late tomorrow night. And my mom wants us all to take my dad out for Father's Day on Sunday so we're taking him out to dinner.

A new light rail line is opening up, so my husband and I are heading out to that. He's a train enthusiast, and I'm hoping to get a job with the transit board (which means I'm going to do my damnedest to network in the midst of everything). Then one of my former co-worker's has a show with his band on Saturday, and I'm taking pictures of classic cars on Sunday. Sleep? What's that?

I only realized when my brother posted on Facebook that he was at Pride that Pride was Friday/Saturday, not Saturday/Sunday. And the drag show was today, and I missed it. :(

Semi-local con next weekend though, and I need to finish my costume and my sister-in-law's costume, so it's just as well that I stay home and keep plugging away. Soooo close to being finished with both! Also hoping to borrow my dad's lawn mower so I can mow my front yard before I get fined for not doing so. -_- In between all that, making another round of ginger syrup is in order, and probably some video game breaks - I've gotten myself addicted to Katamari Damacy again. Cannot stop playing the second game. Same levels over and over and over even, just trying to break my records...
