(Anonymous) 2014-06-13 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)The books are written from Odd's POV and from what I remember he merely describes her as dark-haired/eyed and looking Egyptian. It's never confirmed (though neither is it denied) that she is. And I dunno, but with a given name of 'Bronwyn' I would lean more towards her being Welsh than Egyptian, but people have been known to name their kids after names they admire from other cultures, so it's not entirely impossible.
Off topic from that, I actually really liked the movie. I reread the first book after watching it, and I was surprised at how... unspectacular I found the first book compared to how I remembered it. It was still good, it just wasn't ~*~amazing~*~ like I remember it being.
Maybe because I've had a big loathing for first person POV's for a long while now and it's been... well, however long it's been since the first book came out that I've read it.
