People that don't understand dubcon or noncon creep me out. I would categorize "drugged sex" as noncon even, as the person s not in any state of mind to give consent (depending on the type of drugs and quantity). Having sex while under a love spell is usually dub or noncon, sex pollen is usually noncon, etc., etc. And, it's all rape. If the person doesn't have the mental faculties to consent, it's rape. Dubcon and noncon are just kink distinctions for fictional purposes.

I think the word rape implies a rapist. If two people are both affected by the sex pollen emitted by a nonsentient plant and have sex, then what?

Dubcon as they both could not consent. Most sex pollen fics I've read only involve one person being affected by sex pollen and that's a little iffy-er.

I've seen fics where only one person is affected. "Fuck Or Die" scenarios are not uncommon, and I would veer more to the dub-con end of the scale, because well, fuck or die. Usually the drugged person would prefer to be fucked instead of dying.

I think the word rape implies a violation. Like, non-con tentacle porn is still depicting rape even if the tentacle creature is entirely nonsentient or so alien it doesn't understand consent.

I don't consider it rape if someone gets sex-pollened and then gives every sign that they consent to sex. If we weren't rolling around in their head, we would have no idea about the true effects of the sex pollen, and the other person undoubtedly doesn't know either--that's dubcon.
