I knew beforehand that Stoic was going to die, so that might have been why it didn't make that much of an impact on me.

The movie felt very...quick. It didn't feel as, uh, meaty? as the first one, even though it had more things happening than the first one. I still really liked it though. I've heard some complaints that Stoic/Hiccup forgave Valka too quickly, but eh. I figured Stoic was too old to care about the hows or whys.

Toothless becoming an alpha was kind of strange? I thought the alphas were dragons with a special mind control ability and not just the strongest dragon? Hmmm. I did love the blue glow/spiky thing Toothless got at the end.
