(Anonymous) 2014-06-15 11:39 pm (UTC)(link)I've seen people defend it because it would supposedly be historically inaccurate to inculde female assassins in the French Revolution. Apparently Charlotte Corday didn't exist.

(Anonymous) 2014-06-16 04:58 am (UTC)(link)I did. And I also misread the reply Vethica had replied to when I posted this. I feel a bit embarassed now.

(Anonymous) 2014-06-15 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)did you somehow manage to miss the most popular rebutal to Ubisoft claim, which was that the most important assassin of the French Revolution was Charlotte Corday? Whose nickname was "the Angel of Assassination"?
Also, lets ignore the fact that a lot of assassin targets were men, thus the best assassin suited for the job was a woman pretending to be a prostitute/concubine/harmless woman because it made getting close to the target so much easier. Or do you honestly think assassins dressed and acted like those in the game? That they dressed flashily and did all the important assassinations of a time period?
