Pokemon, when I was 9. Chat rooms on Angelfire websites, fanfics (though I didn't know the word fanfic back then), role-playing Pokemon trainer games... yep. "Adopting" Pokemon from "adoption centers" (basically images that you've save on your computer, these were all the rage in 1999), debating the authenticity of Mew cheats, and so on.
