...And I thought I was the only one. Huh. (This isn't the only part of my speech impediment, but it is the one I catch myself doing more than anything else.)

Speech impediments can suck because when you're paying attention or being careful, you can make yourself sound fine. But when you talk too fast or aren't paying much attention to what you're saying, you trip up. So I feel that, I feel you, etc etc.

...Upon reflection twelve seconds later, it occurs to me that this one makes sense as even a semi-common speech impediment, as l and r sounds are in the same language class (both liquid consonants--the only two in English), and are pronounced the same as each other in other languages. I am a native English speaker, but the two are still similar enough for me to trip up, I guess.
