Me too, but I don't know how much of it is about violence? the objectification of their abused bodies really weirds me out. Violence as a natural element of a picture or story is fine and if I'm being perfectly honest, it doesn't repel me the way violence against women might. But if I'm reading something and it dwells on the dripping gut wound and broken arm I'm out and it does affect my enjoyment of fandom spaces.
