Oh, I'd still enjoy the stories! (The Dark Knight Returns has Carrie as Robin, and I like that book a lot.) There'd just be that little extra ingredient missing, more like.

Fair enough. I find just about any Batman/Robin shipping to be creepy. The age difference I can get behind, but the Robins are too much like his kids for me. The one exception is Tim, for some reason, but I just plain am not interested in shipping them.

He pretty much adopted all of them, you know.

At one point or another, in one continuity or another, Bruce adopted each of the male Robins as his son. Except Damian I guess, who was his natural son.

So ew. Yeah, this is a big squick for me.

I don't ship him with Carrie or Steph either. Nor Cass. Bruce/Babs is understandable in some continuities. But yeah, I think Bruce should keep his mitts off die kinder.

Thumbs up for your honest OP. Personally, it's quasi-incestuous for me given that he frequently takes on a fatherly role for these kids, but whatever floats your boat.

I guess I can see where you're coming from, but the boy Robins are still unique enough characters that, for example, Bruce/Dick feels like a very different pairing to me than Bruce/Jason or Bruce/Tim or DCAU!Bruce/Dick or DCAU!Bruce/Tim. There are some similar dynamics, but the pairings are unique.

This. I don't get the concept of a universal Batman or Robin because each Batman and each Robin are such different characters. Hell, one of the Robins has been Batman before. I'm pretty sure there's at least one elseworld where Bruce Wayne was Robin as well. Dick isn't Jason, isn't Tim, isn't Steph, isn't Damian, isn't Carrie. The only Robin who is all the Robins is John Blake.

I personally think the only male Robins Bruce had slashy potential with were Dick and Jason though. Even though they were male, I don't see the slash potential with Tim or Damian.
But if you're not against female Batman characters, there's nothing wrong with preferring a male Robin. Although I myself love girl Robins, and I really think seeing Batman mentor female sidekicks services him as a character, and I'm hoping the next Robin will be female.

I don't slash Bruce with the Robins (because of the whole Father figure to them thing - as dysfunctional as it is - it's psudo - incest to me and I don't like anything close to incest), but given that Damien is Bruce's biological child, it would be especially a no - no for me.
