I guess I can see where you're coming from, but the boy Robins are still unique enough characters that, for example, Bruce/Dick feels like a very different pairing to me than Bruce/Jason or Bruce/Tim or DCAU!Bruce/Dick or DCAU!Bruce/Tim. There are some similar dynamics, but the pairings are unique.

This. I don't get the concept of a universal Batman or Robin because each Batman and each Robin are such different characters. Hell, one of the Robins has been Batman before. I'm pretty sure there's at least one elseworld where Bruce Wayne was Robin as well. Dick isn't Jason, isn't Tim, isn't Steph, isn't Damian, isn't Carrie. The only Robin who is all the Robins is John Blake.
