Tomorrow is my first anniversary with my girlfriend. Unfortunately I won't get to see her but this weekend I'll be staying at her place and then bringing her back home with me so we can go to a restaurant that's sort of a local tradition around here. It's only open in the summer and all through high school a bunch of people would skip school on the day it opened.

It's a kind of old-fashioned fast food place that looks a bit like those drive-in places you see in movies. It's on the river and all the seating is outdoors and there's a separate building for ice cream and other desserts.
