Which is why I almost always prefer the English Dubs over the originals.

Not necessarily. There are some cases where the dub is better, but most of the time it feels like completely different characters and sounds awkward.

I did prefer dubbed versions of Inuyasha, Fruits Basket, and Yu Yu Hakusho. But that's about it.
