I feel pretty impartial regarding the dub with the exception of English Mikasa. There's just....too much emotion. English Mikasa feels like a different character altogether. idk.

Baccano!, Panty and Stocking, YuYu Hakusho and Gokusen all had some fantastic dubs imo

Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo both have pretty great dubs.

The Ghost in the Shell tv series has a fantastic dub. Most Ghibli movies do as well.

For me, I really liked the dubs to these shows: Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Trigun, Inuyasha, Hellsing, Fullmetal Alchemist and Fate Zero.

I don't know about this particular anime, but I love the dub of Cowboy Bebop more than the original. It sounds much more lighthearted in the dubbed voices. The original Japanese makes it sound quite dark to me. This may be because I watched the entire series as a dub, then the movie in the original language, so I was used to the higher-pitched character voices.

I don't think the dub is terrible, but I agree it's not that good. It's kinda disappointing, since I figured Funimation would pull out all the stops for this one, but so far it's just 'eh.' Hopefully it'll get better as it goes.

I find most dubs to be horrible tbh. Attack on Titan is one and Bleach is another.

to each their own, as they say. i really like the dub for attack on titan. i'm glad you at least like armin's VA though because i think he does a fantastic job and i was the most worried about his voice since he is my fave. the scream at the end of ep 5, i mean: damn. killed it.

i see a lot of folks complaining about modern dubs and can't help but think they weren't around for the really, REALLY awful ones of the late 90s/early 2000s, like sailor moon and cardcaptor sakura (or "cardcaptors," bfksajdf). never thought i'd become a crotchety old weeaboo but there you go.

I'm pretty neutral on the dub. I think the original voices fit the characters as I know them more. But I don't think the dub is god awful, the biggest problem is that the kids sound too old. I'm actually really happy with the girl's voices.

tbh the only time I prefer the dubs over original Japanese is Fruits Basket, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Inuyasha.

I kind of like the dub, tbh. I liked the sub, too, though, so still on the edge.

Armin's voice is WAY superior though. I spent the first ten episodes thinking Armin was a girl with the Japanese dub...

I've never seen SNK before, but I haven't heard good things about its dub.

Also, one dub I thought was pretty good and I don't think has been mentioned yet was Death Note.

I was disappointed with the dub too! I think my biggest beef with it is that it felt like almost no work was put into understanding/matching the characters. Armin and Eren's voices sound too old (to me, at least), Levi and Mikasa's voices don't really match their stoic personalities, and Hanji's voice is very feminine sounding when she's supposed to be a gender ambiguous character. And so on. The fan voice acting that I've heard on youtube is literally so much better
