(Anonymous) 2014-06-17 02:50 am (UTC)(link)Kids should be allowed to dress up as things and characters that are meaningful to them. It's not their job to like what their parents think they should like, or what other adults will consider cute and age-appropriate. Some kids just don't fit the innocent mold.
OTOH, I agree that dressing a kid who doesn't have any clue who Alex is in a Clockwork Orange costume because the adults find it amusing is questionable, at best.
