Is one of them Clark Duke/Marty? If so YES. That was my favourite part of the movie.

Kick Ass 1 was awesome. But I really didn't like 2. Not because of the acting, but because it went to far with Chris and the violence. I know they needed an enemy but holy shit, too far. Also they never showed Dave finding out that Chris was Red Mist. He just suddenly knew in the 2nd movie.

Also the romantic pairing of Dave/Hit Girl hit such a squick ughhhhh.

I made the mistake of reading Wanted after I saw the movie because I was curious to see what was changed.

After that no way in hell was I going to read Kick-Ass.

Does the movie not end with Eminem and/or the male lead buggering the audience? Then yeah, it's toned down.

Mark Millar is almost always over-the-top offensive.

I totally see where you're coming from OP. The movie had so much potential with the new characters, but all they did was mention their backstories and do basically nothing with them. Remembering Tommy were actually really cute and they definitely should have done more with them.

I'm especially angry about Night Bitch considering all she did was wear (yet another) revealing and impractical outfit, fuck the main character and then almost get raped just to make the main character feel bad.

I actually like the first movie, but the sequel was seriously bogged down all of the wasted potential it had and the blatant misogyny.
