I'm inclined to agree, but her voice work (Vanellope of course, but also whichever one of the Pesto twins she is on Bob's Burgers) makes me think she does have some real talent. Though maybe not so much as a comedian.

I don't know this fic, but I don't see anything wrong with a fandom discouraging members from shit-talking works of fanart or fic. It's not like those things are canon or costing you money or anything like that. They're just something another fan did. Chill. Maybe find a friend to rant at about it. Don't ruin the writer's day over it.

I've unfollowed fanartists who were whiners, so I can relate to this secret. I liked their art, so I was deliberately cutting myself off from something I enjoyed.

But 90% of their tumblr posts were blahblahblah I'm so great, everyone should think like me or you're no one in fandom. They would have to be shitting pure diamonds to make me put up with that.
