I'm always so baffled by what other people consider conventionally attractive. Silverman isn't ugly by any means but I think people when gauging attractiveness often respond to "effort", as gross as that sounds. As long as people see you've put in time to looking good for them they generally respond favorably. Or more favorably than they otherwise would.

Basically every celebrity puts in effort, even the slightly above average looking ones. People respond to that. Find a new conspiracy theory, OP.

Eh, conventional attractiveness is have one set type of features from what I've seen. Sort of how "classic beauty" tends to be a set type in terms of features.

Now, I'll admit I do think she does fall into that - most women who are considered attractive do - I'm not sure she'd got popular because of it.

Yeah. It's not her looks. It's her mouth. She intentionally downplays her looks for a reason -- she shows up on talk shows in the most appalling outfits, I mean, pajama-level clothing or fuzzed up stuff you wear when you haven't done laundry in three weeks. Which is all part of her schtick of course. But I kind of like her for it.

Which is why it's kind of funny the OP (probably deliberately) picked the rare picture of Silverman where she's in a dress and basically as 'prettied up' as she tends to get.
