I understand your N!S and your S, but the B!S and what I presume is a fic exerpt have me really confused

The B!S was just my reaction to a particular part of this story that completely appalled me (even more than the rest) - iirc, the OFC is confused about whether she should date Tom or this coffeehouse boy who's interested in her, so she texts her sassy gay friend Mark to bemoan being Asian, which apparently leaves her completely incapable of understanding "dating in the western world".

As an Asian woman who has navigated perfectly fine in this western dating world, I was just offended because she seemed to be playing some sort of "Asian special snowflake" card (I got the impression that the writer is also Asian and was trying to shape the OFC more like herself).
