Wow, this chapter. It's exposition heavy and also slightly confusing and convoluted. The simplest explanation is that black zetsu is the mastermind behind everything that's ever happened. The entire Naruto manga has just been one big plot by BZ to resurrect its "mother" Kaguya.

The chapter starts out with Sasuke's susanoo failing, of course. Sasuke almost falls into the lava but uses a skill to sort of float like Naruto. (His sword dies in his place, shoot!) Kaguya teleports behind them and then starts crying. She sees them as Hagoromo and Hamura, her two sons, despite that they're her grandsons' reincarnations blahblah. She then starts sucking their chakra with the help of BZ.

He tells them this long story about how he created the history of shinobi, how he tricked Indra into being evil, how he created the Uchiha to be Kaguya's vessel, that it changed the monument stone to read that the Infinite Tsukuyomi would save the Uchiha (It said something different, no mention of what it originally said at the moment) that he created Akatsuki, that he played Madara, so on and so forth. Madara bit off a piece of Hashirama's "meat" (heh) and after he died, resurrected himself with an eye technique...somehow. He sewed the piece of "meat" inside of his body and you know the rest.

It ends with Naruto freeing himself and Sasuke from BZ, and he and Sasuke making a plan to seal Kaguya away.

I can't help but feel that this chapter was an attempt to absolve the Uchihas and give Sasuke a way out. Black zetsu mentions how it's rare to see Indra and Ashura helping each other, so I doubt he's going to be 'evil' anymore. Seems like kind of an extreme 180 IMO.

The Uchiha's SHOULD NEVER be absolved. Except, to an extent, Itachi. I don't hate him as much as I used to...once you learn what he was TRYING to do, and it sorta backfired spectacularly...yeah...IDK.

Anywho, NO ABSOLUTION FOR THAT FUCKING FAMILY. NONE. BC

Apparently they were just tricked and corrupted by black zetsu changing their monument stone lol It's very silly
