Anon, I completely feel for you. My family left our Conservative Jewish community a while ago and I still have really, really complicated emotions over everything to do with Judaism. It bothers me that I can't simply enjoy anything that reminds of Judaism. It gets all tied up in my complicated baggage. I get uncomfortable around other Jews because I never learned Yiddish or Hebrew, and I still feel guilty about it. We had to leave because things were just getting not good.

It must have been even harder when you gave up Orthodox practices. Whoever you are, I hope I can find you. I'm just glad to know I'm not alone.
