Medicare is that stubborn piece of a shit nugget smeared on Obama's bathroom wall. It's so rancid the flies won't touch it.

No wonder the USA has shitty medical coverage. There is so much red tape to get my dad the care he needs, and it's just gotten worse because he recently turned sixty five. Now it's a fight just to get him his meds, and oh btw my checking and savings account have just enough to disqualify me for medical. So no in home care to give me a break and no way to get dad into a facility that can take care of him.

He has advanced Parkinson's and almost can't do anything for himself anymore. The medical system is fucking failing him on all levels. I swear the bastard insurance companies are TRYING to make us just give up and let him waste away.

That's fucked up. I discovered when my mom got on it that Medicare is just the biggest shitshow. And yes, the insurance companies probably are trying to do just that. They don't make money from treating sick people, after all, they make it from extorting healthy people and then shimmy-shucking their way out of returning as much of the investment as possible. (Bitter, me? Nooo.)

That really, really depends on where you are and whether you're in a state that accepted the expansion or not. My state did and it's pretty good here - not as good as insurance that you pay for, but it's not bad either.

I'm sorry to hear it sucks so much where you live, anon. :(
