This is a weird one but one that is relevant to me right now. When people call 'Steve Rogers,' Steve Rodgers.

That misspelling makes me crazy on levels that would make Bruce Banner say "Dial it back a notch, dude."

I sometimes struggle to read thru a fic that uses Rodgers.

I wouldn't even try. That one really pisses me off.
Also it's Hannibal LectEr, not Lector ffs!

It amazes me when people spell a characters name wrong in fic. (Or on a regular basis if they consider themselves a fan.)

I get doing it accidentally on tumblr or something (Maybe you were typing too fast, it was a mistake, whatever) but... Seriously? A quick Google search can fix that. (I've seen my fair share of Styles on reddit and it baffles me.)

It is especially annoying when I see they have chosen the correct spelling in the tag list.

I hate that, too. Especially when people are claiming that moment to love the character. Like, "Ronan's my favorite character." <- what are you talking about? "Ronan" isn't on the show! It's bitchy but it bugs me.

Sometimes people make mistakes and that's understandable, but I do think it's odd when people use the wrong spelling over and over. Maybe because if I think I'm spelling something wrong I'll check, so I usually realize the mistake before using it multiple times. (And if you're around fandom spaces where others talk about the characters and media then again, you would see the right spelling over and over again.)

For instance, when I first got into Teen Wolf I had a hell of a time remembering how Stilinski was spelled. And sometimes I still feel like I'm typing it wrong, but I've googled him so many times now that I feel like it has to be right, lol.
