holy jesus christ, coworker, REIKI AND HOMEOPATHY ARE BOTH BULLSHIT. Your son is not seeing ghosts, he's fucking two years old and his brain's not done wiring itself yet. Doctors are (probably) not trying to sell you specific antidepressants because Big Pharma is bribing them. ENERGY FIELDS ARE NOT REEEEEEEAL AND EVEN IF THEY WERE YOU CANNOT FEEL THEM.

Eh, I sort of believe that you can feel energy and stuff, and I'm not flaky. :P But she sounds... well, like the sort of flake who is why I typically don't volunteer that information.

I remember the time someone at a a spiritual forum I visit suggested indigo children are real. Nope.

the energy thing is actually the least of my problems with her, since I'm also perfectly willing to believe that some people have a greater sense of bio-electric perception or a better ability to read emotional cues that can add up to a sense of "personal energy field" but combined with all her other shit it drives me up the goddamn wall. I also don't think it helps that she's got a side business of doing reiki therapy, which always seems to me like a scam for anything other than general stress management.

this is also the woman who describes herself as "very spiritual and interested in Eastern philosophy" and yet she had never read the Tao Te Jing before I lent it to her. She hated it, said it was too confusing. FML.
