I love the cinnamon jellybellies. I wish they made a pack just of those, like they did with tabasco flavoured ones (which were for my brother, not myself).

Mum, if I want to give the vets a box of sweet things as thanks for being so understanding and letting you defer payment for a few days, I will give them a box of sweet things.

Spent like an hour and a half at the DMV today, waiting in line to renew my driver's license. All the bad jokes are true... :( Very confusing setup, and the people working there weren't very friendly.

But on the up side, I passed the vision test! I don't know why this was such a big deal to me - I usually wear contacts or glasses when I drive, though my vision is not that bad, just hard to read far away signs. But just having the option to not wear them if I'm running to the store or something is nice.

I am close to writing a passive-aggresive vague post on facebook because my boyfriend isn't answering my texts since this morning, even though I could really use his support because of problems I'm having. But I don't wanna be that bitchy; I wanna have the chance to talk this out with him... except I can't reach him.

I just have those days where I wish I were a starship captain and I'd send everyone to the fucking brig for getting on my goddamn nerves. (I'd make up a legit reason for them to be there.) Today is one of those days. Ordering people to the brig just sounds cool, you know. And then they are out of sight for a while.

I called today to make an appointment to get an oil change next week. The phone just rang and rang and rang and never went to voicemail so I just hung up. Then I forgot to call back. Now they're closed for the weekend.

Yesterday on my walk I took a bad step, my iPod armband chafed the hell out of me, and I think a gnat flew into my contact lens. So today my bad knee is aching, the inside of my upper arm is rubbed raw, and I can't even put my contacts in.

holy jesus christ, coworker, REIKI AND HOMEOPATHY ARE BOTH BULLSHIT. Your son is not seeing ghosts, he's fucking two years old and his brain's not done wiring itself yet. Doctors are (probably) not trying to sell you specific antidepressants because Big Pharma is bribing them. ENERGY FIELDS ARE NOT REEEEEEEAL AND EVEN IF THEY WERE YOU CANNOT FEEL THEM.

For some reason I remembered a wedding I attended to with my family when I was like, 7. When it came time for the bride to throw the bouquet, I got there because hey, playing catch with flowers? that sounds great! But then some asshole woman pushed me out of the way hard enough to make me fall. Like, what kind of adult pushes a child like that?

I hate how many snarkier internet communities - no, I don't mean this one - turn into "let's be mean and nasty for no reason."

As I said elsewhere I had a toenail removed today. I've been dealing with a really unpleasant toe situation for a few months now and my doctor couldn't fix it, so the nail had to be pulled. Not too pleased about that (I LIKED that toenail! Er, not recently, but... I used to); I'm going to miss putting nail polish on it.

Also, the pain. Or more specifically the pain from the shot, then the terrible sensation of someone digging into your flesh. It isn't hurting now, but holy crap. (Also, thanks doc for saying “You have a little bit of everything (wrong with you)”. I've always thought my medical history was pretty unimpressive, so nice to know I'm a train wreck.)

And I've been too busy to excercise but about twice this week, and I suppose I won't get to for the next couple days either, so... Blah.

I can't figure out whether my stomach wants me to eat something or not, or what it thinks I might like to eat. Nothing seems appetizing except spoonfuls of lemon frosting with ginger sprinkled on it.

And I'm still not sure I should be eating this frosting given the restricted diet I'm trying to use to get my GI symptoms under control. It's gluten and dairy free, but contains corn syrup. But not HIGH FRUCTOSE corn syrup, just corn syrup... and every single reference I've found for this diet says corn is fine, and one even specifically says corn syrup "should be okay", but they all agree that high fructose corn syrup is a gigantic no. For now I'm saying corn syrup must be okay because it's in a couple of the few things that don't cause my symptoms to spike.

And for the record, it's really a pain in the butt trying to find gluten-free baked goods that aren't also all "wholesome and natural" and thus using honey and/or apples for sweetening. :( Those are actually worse for me than the gluten. I finally found a bread without any disallowed ingredients, and it cost $5 for a tiny little loaf. ;_;
