I can't figure out whether my stomach wants me to eat something or not, or what it thinks I might like to eat. Nothing seems appetizing except spoonfuls of lemon frosting with ginger sprinkled on it.

And I'm still not sure I should be eating this frosting given the restricted diet I'm trying to use to get my GI symptoms under control. It's gluten and dairy free, but contains corn syrup. But not HIGH FRUCTOSE corn syrup, just corn syrup... and every single reference I've found for this diet says corn is fine, and one even specifically says corn syrup "should be okay", but they all agree that high fructose corn syrup is a gigantic no. For now I'm saying corn syrup must be okay because it's in a couple of the few things that don't cause my symptoms to spike.

And for the record, it's really a pain in the butt trying to find gluten-free baked goods that aren't also all "wholesome and natural" and thus using honey and/or apples for sweetening. :( Those are actually worse for me than the gluten. I finally found a bread without any disallowed ingredients, and it cost $5 for a tiny little loaf. ;_;
