Before I knew better, I once stiffed a waiter of a tip because our food was late. :/ I think I was still in high school or maybe just out, and honestly didn't realize I was punishing him, not the restaurant. What I remember is that there was basically no one else there that night, either. :/ I mean, it's no surprise as to why, that place shut down practically two weeks later, but still.

Well, doesn't it depend?

If the food is late because the chef/cooks are backed up, yeah, stiffing is not so nice.

But if the food is late because the waiter somehow keeps forgetting you exist... I'd be stiffing the waiter.
