Re: What immoral/illegal things are you guilty of doing?

I may be about to dognap my neighbors dog. I pulled up today when I got from the store (my parking spot is right near her back door) and saw my neighbor walking out her back door. SHE WAS CARRYING HER PUPPY BY ITS COLLAR. Not even the ruff of its neck, ITS COLLAR. When she saw me, she audibly gasped and put her hand under the puppy's butt so that it was being supported by its neck and butt.

I know if I call animal control they won't do anything (if they even come by to check). they leave the poor thing outside for hours in this hot as fuck weather (sometimes with no water). So.....

Honestly, my only objection in this case is that considering you're neighbors, you'd probably get caught. :/ Is there a Homeowner's Association? They may have a rule about leaving pets outside, at least...

I figure if I do, I'll give it to my sister to keep (she has been wanting to get another dog). after a couple months there would be no way to prove it is the same dog (it is a very young pit looking dog so should be quite bigger).

And no HA here. hell, other than my house, every house on my street looks abanadoned (some have broken windows and are half painted).

Would that make it likely they'd assume you took the puppy?

I'm all for you doing so, mind. Mistreating animals and kids is so high on my list of things you Just Don't Do. I just don't want you to get caught, or worse, get away with said puppy, and them get another one.

That's not immoral. That's MORAL for you to do. I know the law might not agree, but morally - you're in the right there.

I think the moral thing is to go and yell at them for being assholes, and if they continue to be assholes, then take the dog. Unfortunately, doing the first thing makes it more difficult to do the second, but if you can do something less drastic and get the same result, you should.

But you're definitely right that you have to do SOMETHING.

That's a more reasonable approach to it, I agree.
