lol, I love this secret. On topic: Western animation often has-
a coloured contour VS the black one in anime,
chins VS chins, what chins?,
neck/shoulder muscles VS neck tendons
shadows and highlights that are not in sharp contrast
and finally differently animated movement.

This is what first comes to mind.

I'm not making a value judgement either way here but I'm pretty sure I've seen way more chins in anime than in western cartoons.

Well, stricly speaking the amount is the same, but anime has more pointy chins, I think.

The small, perky noses on most anime characters bothers me, too. Even looking at art work of some of my favorite cartoons, I notice the noses tend to be more defined than traditional anime style.

Maybe your subconscious picked anime with more defined noses? I was astonished when I saw Escaflowne when I was new to anime. The noses're very long and upturned.

No, I'm referring to Western cartoons with more defined noses. Even the "cute, perky noses" tend to look nothing like Anime Noses.
