Nah, there are some people out there who are OCD about age limits. Me, I didn't watch PG13 movies until I was 13. I did read mature fic before I was 18 but it was accidental...I hadn't figured out what various warnings meant at that point in time. >>

Ironically, I had watched movies I was too young for before, and even managed to sneak into theatres because I was really tall for my age.

To be fair, the MPAA ratings system tends to suck and seems sort of arbitrary of what film gets what rating. (NC - 17 for a movie that has a husband and wife having sex - what?!)

I had that problem too! Although some of it was also assuming no one would write a dirty fic about Harry Potter, surely the wording was just bad... oh wait, nope, that's what they meant... but there were other times I just didn't realize, for sure.
